Jim is currently the managing litigation attorney at the Waterbury office of Hartford based Trantolo & Trantolo, LLC, a well known and respected law firm dedicated to helping injured persons.

Founded in 1937, and serving Bridgeport, New Haven, Waterbury, Hartford and surrounding areas, Trantolo & Trantolo, LLC is dedicated to representing individuals who have been injured and to ensuring that the people or companies responsible for the injury (or death) are held accountable.

  • Civil caseload included all negligence and tort cases to include: attorney malpractice, assaults, automobile collisions, battery, construction defects, motorcycle collisions, fall downs, medical malpractice,  negligent security, premises liability; and product liability cases
  • Criminal defense caseload ranged from misdemeanor to serious felony cases
  • Served as lead counsel on 15 civil and criminal jury trials to verdict
  • Advocated hundreds of succesful pretrial dispositions for civil and criminal clients
  • Contracted by State of Connecticut to provide Special Public Defender services to low income and indigent clients for misdemeanor and felony charges
  • Managed all business aspects of the practice, supervised office consisting of one full time attorney, two support staff and two affiliated of counsel attorneys
  • Created systems to drive annual double digit revenue growth for eleven consecutive years
  • Served as legal counsel, advocate and trial attorney for individuals and business clients
  • Retained by multiple municipalities to provide legal services
  • Appointed Assistant Town Attorney for Town of Stratford from 1995-1997; handling a variety of legal matters including construction contracts; labor relations policy drafting; workers’ compensation defense; represented Pension Board and Building Needs Committees
