Jim Miron is a successful personal injury and criminal defense attorney at the Bridgeport, Connecticut law firm Zeisler & Zeisler, P.C. where he serves as the Chairman of the Personal Injury Department.
Jim is admitted to practice law in the state and federal courts in Connecticut, The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Court, The District of Columbia, Florida and the United States Court of International Trade.
Prior to his current position Jim’s legal experience included several years at a well-known law firm where he was the Senior Litigation Attorney. He also owned and operated his own successful law firm and represented thousands of individuals, small businesses, major corporations and municipalities, including serving as an Assistant Town Attorney for Stratford.
Jim Miron’s prior public service includes serving as a Trustee for the Connecticut State University (Central Connecticut, Southern Connecticut, Eastern Connecticut and Western Connecticut State Universities); as an elected member of the Stratford Democratic Town Committee; as a Commissioner on the Stratford Historic District Commission for five years, serving as Chairman for a year and a half; and as a Commissioner on the 2002 Stratford Charter Revision Commission.
Jim Miron was elected Stratford’s first Mayor in a historic election held in November 2005 and completed his tenure in December 2009.
Jim is a proud United States Army veteran. His service included having served as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina and in the Republic of Korea with the 2nd Infantry Division, where he was promoted to the rank of sergeant and received numerous awards and distinctions from the Secretary of the Army and his commanders.
